Chapter 9

Anna couldn’t believe that she was waking up next to a man, and Nathan of all people. She couldn’t believe that he had stayed the night, that they had made love, numerous times. That she had enjoyed herself or had as much fun as she had in bed with him.

Her experiences with men were few and far between but she knew enough to know that what had happened between her and Nathan was pretty amazing. She had never been with a man who could pull so much out of her. Who could make her say and do things that she wouldn’t have normally done. It was all new and exciting and she liked it a lot.

She wanted it all again, which was also not like her at all. She was never one who would have ever thought about having sex in the morning. But she woke up wanting Nathan and she was feeling good enough about herself and how the evening had gone that she decided to try something she had never done before. Initiate.

Deciding to do it and then actually doing it were two very different things. She wanted to she just wasn’t sure if she could actually do it. She looked up at Nathan sleeping next to her. His eyes fluttered a little bit as if he was having a dream and Anna wondered what he was dreaming. What his dreams were. Did he always want to be a lawyer? Did he like what he did? Did he want to do something else? He had helped her attain her dream and she wanted to help him. She was curious if he had anything he wanted to do in bed. She knew she couldn’t ask him but she might be able to show him that she was open to the idea.

He was lying on his back, his mouth slightly open, his arm draped over her shoulder, keeping her close to him, even in slumber. It had been such a wonderful feeling waking up in his arms. The whole night had been unbelievable, so amazing that she wanted to give him something back, and maybe even something for herself.

Anna kept her eyes on Nathan as she ran her hand over his chest. Loving the feel of his muscles rippling slightly under her touch. He sighed softly as she moved her hand over his chest and down his stomach. She kept waiting with her breath held for his eyes to open, for him to reach up and grip her hand in his. To tell her to stop. But he didn’t, instead he formed the slightest of smiles and it made Anna think that he might be dreaming about her. The thought made her bolder.

She glided her hand down his stomach and to his right leg. Running her hand up and down his leg a few times. Nathan twitched a little bit in his sleep but he didn’t wake up but he did let out a soft sigh and he smiled wider.
